In my humble opinion, business starts and stops with people and teamwork.
An organization's team members are truly their greatest and most critical asset. It's also what I'm most passionate about; serving others and helping them achieve success and their full potential. Identifying and leveraging an individual's core talents, strengths and passions helps them and the organization achieve success beyond measure; with purpose and meaning.
Additionally, providing clarity regarding the role the team member specifically plays in helping drive the MVP, Values and the organization's plans is a catalyst for their empowerment, commitment, enthusiasm, passion, retention, impact and success.
Ready. Aim. Fire. Plan your work and work your plan. Regardless of the saying, putting a plan in place will get everyone pointed in the same direction (e.g. the individual, department/team and the organization). Development and socialization of 3-5 years plans, annual plans, 90-day rolling action plans, team/department plans and individual plans will help cultivate a culture of team work, transparency and accountability.
Without execution, the plan is simply words on paper. Execution is about making progress. Making progress day-in and day-out will lead to positive change and momentum in 1-10-30-60-90 days and transformational results in 180-365 days. To quote a friend of mine, "Dominate the Day!"
